Fair Play in Music

Rodrigo Amar

Board Member and majority shareholder, Sua Música

Who he is

  • On the Board of Directors of Sua Música since September 2019 and, in his words, “a majority shareholder” (rodrigoamar.com).
  • CEO of Sua Música for seven years before that (rodrigoamar.com).
  • Law graduate and former intellectual property lawyer at “Latin America’s largest IP law firm” (rodrigoamar.com).
  • One of the three who bought Sua Música in 2013 (Brazil Journal, 2021).

What the record shows

  • In 2017, while he was CEO, Ambi filed the TUMÚSICA trademark in the U.S. (USPTO serial no. 87398946).
  • In 2026, Ambi filed the “tumúsica” logo for record-label services and declared that no one else has the right to use it (USPTO serial no. 99734373).
  • Tu Música, the company that signed, is owned by New Music Endeavour, which is owned by Ambi (Receita Federal, Brazil).

The question

As majority shareholder, board member and IP lawyer: did you know two songs were released without the producer’s license? We assume you didn’t. Now you do.

I only publish professional information the person publishes about himself or that appears in public records. I do not publish personal data. These are questions, not accusations, and this is not legal advice. If he wishes to respond, I will publish his full reply: contacto@juegolimpioenlamusica.com.
